The Terra Nova community came together this weekend to celebrate a fundraising milestone as Mr Teague successfully completed a 300ft bungee jump in aid of East Cheshire Hospice.
Mr Teague was nominated by pupils to complete the charity jump back in October 2025, following a schoolwide 12-hour ‘exercise-athon’. After an intense pupil vote which sealed Mr Teague’s fate, the event was due to take place at Tatton Park the very next day. Unfortunately, severe weather brought by Storm Amy forced a last-minute postponement and the event had to be rescheduled.
One year on, Mr Teague finally got to fulfill his promise in front of a supportive crowd of Terra Novians at Heaton Park in Manchester. The whole event raised £4,600 for East Cheshire Hospice, the school’s named charity for the academic year.
This year’s fundraising efforts also include a ‘Starlight’ walk at Capesthorne Hall, a Senior Choir performance at the Trafford Centre, as well as the annual Christmas and summer fairs. Together, these have contributed to a phenomenal year of charitable-giving across the Terra Nova community, which saw the school surpass its overall target of raising £10,000 for East Cheshire Hospice.
