Our Nursery and Pre-Prep pupils enjoyed a very special visit this week from Carolyn from the RSPCA, who led an engaging and inspiring workshop all about caring for animals in need.
The children were fascinated to learn about the incredible work the charity undertakes to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome animals across the UK. Through stories and interactive discussion, Carolyn helped the pupils understand how the RSPCA supports poorly or injured animals, and why kindness and responsibility are so important.
A particular highlight of the session saw the children transform into “hedgehog heroes”. They discovered how to protect our prickly friends, especially during the colder months, learning simple but powerful ways to help. The workshop sparked thoughtful conversations about how even small actions can make a big difference to local wildlife.
The visit also included a pet welfare session, where pupils explored what animals need to live happy, healthy lives. They reflected on how to care for their own pets responsibly and kindly.
The session was filled with enthusiasm, thoughtful questions and a genuine desire to help. A huge thank you to Carolyn for an inspiring visit.
