At Terra Nova, we believe a vibrant school experience is built on a strong, supportive parent community. The Parents of Terra Nova (PTN) is our dedicated, parent-led organization that works hand-in-hand with staff to ensure our school community thrives.
Our Vision
The PTN aims to create a strong, supportive, and inclusive community for all Terra Nova families. We are the driving force behind the events and initiatives that enrich the lives of our children and connect our parents.
what we do
We focus on three core areas to benefit the entire Terra Nova family:
1. Community and Social Events
Our primary goal is to foster relationships and community spirit among parents, pupils, and staff. We organize a variety of social events throughout the year, from informal coffee mornings and sporting fixtures to major seasonal celebrations, ensuring there are plenty of opportunities to meet, connect, and build lasting friendships.
2. Fundraising for Enrichment
The FoTN actively raises funds to directly enhance the educational and co-curricular experience of our current pupils. These funds are used for projects and equipment that go above and beyond the school’s core budget, providing exciting opportunities and resources that benefit every child.
3. Support and Philanthropy
In addition to enriching the day-to-day life of the school, a portion of our funds is dedicated to:
Supporting Bursaries: Helping to provide financial assistance to pupils who need it, promoting wider access to a Terra Nova education.
Charitable Causes: Selecting and supporting external charities that resonate with our community values, teaching our pupils the importance of giving back.
