As part of their studies on Worship, Year 5 set off to Chester Cathedral to explore first-hand one of the region’s most remarkable places of faith, history and architecture.
The children were captivated as they stepped inside the stunning building, admiring its soaring arches, intricate carvings and beautiful stained glass. They learned how the cathedral continues to be a place of worship and welcome, open to all visitors.
Eager to deepen their understanding, pupils listened attentively, asked thoughtful questions and even took part in a dressing-up activity to bring the story of worship to life. They were curious, respectful and full of enthusiasm.
