The TN Ski Team returned from the prestigious IAPS Ski Championships in Passo del Tonale on Friday evening with an extraordinary haul of medals, marking a truly remarkable debut for the school on the national prep school ski racing stage.
A talented team of 13 pupils from Years 4 to 8 proudly represented Terra Nova in the U11 and U13 categories, competing in a series of fiercely contested Giant Slalom races. Facing 250 experienced competitors from 20 of the country’s leading prep schools, the team delivered an exceptional performance on their very first appearance at the championships.
Their achievements included an impressive set of podium finishes:
- U11 GS Individual Cup – SILVER
- U13 GS Individual Plate – BRONZE
- U13 GS Mixed Team Cup – BRONZE
- U13 GS Girls’ Team Plate – GOLD
We are absolutely thrilled and immensely proud of the entire team.
With such a strong start, ski racing is now firmly established within Terra Nova’s sporting programme. With an enthusiastic development squad already progressing through the race training pathway, we are incredibly excited to see what the future holds for this talented and determined group of young athletes.
Congratulations to the whole team on a phenomenal achievement!
