Today, our Year 7–8 pupils are enjoying an inspiring Musical Theatre workshop at Shrewsbury School, working alongside pupils from a variety of other prep schools in a vibrant and collaborative setting.
The workshop offers a dynamic introduction to the world of musical theatre, with sessions focusing on drama, dance and song. Guided by expert staff and Shrewsbury School drama students, pupils are developing their performance skills, building confidence and exploring creative expression through movement, voice and character.
A particular highlight of the day is the opportunity to collaborate with Shrewsbury School pupils, allowing our students to learn from one another, share ideas and experience the excitement of working as part of a larger ensemble. The energy and enthusiasm in the rehearsal spaces are clear, with creativity, teamwork and plenty of smiles – and, of course, some excellent jazz hands on display.
The workshop culminates in an afternoon performance for parents, giving pupils the chance to showcase what they have learned and to perform with confidence and flair in front of a supportive audience.
